This apartment, located across Koning Astrid Park in Brussels, is part of the Anderlecht historic architectural heritage.

The building is divided into three residential units, with this apartment situated on the first floor.

Upon purchase, the owner faced the challenge of restoring the damaged interior while preserving its original charm. The original doors were saved, and the apartment was carefully stripped of non-authentic elements.

The design focused on reviving the Art Deco style. A slight reconfiguration of the space created a more logical layout, bringing the bedroom closer to the bathroom and connecting the kitchen, dining room, and living room.

Kitchen: The kitchen, with its generous island, offers direct access to the terrace and dining room. The combination of Verde Levanto marble and dark yacht green lacquered fronts creates a luxurious look. Original Cubex handles add a refined, vintage touch to the kitchen.

Bathroom: The bathroom offered a blank canvas; there were no Art Deco elements present except for the floor. The space was optimally utilized, resulting in a stunning design with water-resistant stucco walls and a fully integrated bath clad in Rosso Levanto marble. A wall to wall cabinet, which also conceals the heating system, serves as a stylish and practical support for the sink.

Dining Room: Together with the client, harmony was sought between classic furniture and new items. After careful selection, the lamps quickly found their place in the interior.

Sanitary: Every space is functionally designed, such as the efficient laundry area in the toilet. A built-in cabinet houses the washing machine, conveniently positioned for ease of use.
